Well I drew it in the 80's (1985 or 1986). It is after a photograph of a German POW from a book by Wolfgang Trees & Charles Whiting called Entscheidung in St Vith. I bought that on my first battlefield trip to the Ardennes in 1984. I was 16 then, so I have many great memories of the 80's.
