Imperial holdover: Gurkhas flock to British army

I found the following article today short, but very interesting. IIRC the Gurkhas terrorized the AK in the NA campaign. The Gurkhas would slip out at night with their famous knives and kill a few sleeping axis troops then vanish. Must have made it really hard to get some sleep on the Tobruk perimeter

Yeah, Gurkha exploits are well known, very wise of the Brit government to continue this tradition and maintain an elite group of some of the best soldiers on the planet.
