Why alternative fire/art/assault rules in Normandy'44

Yep, here is the list of optional rules that are recommended for use with ALL _Alt scenarios:

Just my 2 cents: I hardly ever use stock scenarios in the tournys. so Alt scenarios should be played with the altenate rules. As a matter of fact Death From Above, Thunder in the Desert and Ostkrieg have no stock scenarios in them.;)
