Error Reading Scenario File
There is a great scn called A Lesson to Remember about BalcK and the 11th Panzer available from the Blitz
Unfortunately when I unzipped it and loaded it I got the message Error reading scenario file. I would love to play it but don't know how to solve the problem.
I would be most grateful for any help and advice
Thanks mates

RE: Error Reading Scenario File
The file name is Manutschkaya and the date 25th Jan 1943.
Balck smashed 500 Russian tanks and only lost one German tank!

RE: Error Reading Scenario File
A couple things I would try to see if the primary files are working.

1. Open the map in the Map editor.

2. Open the .org file in the Organization editor.

If you are missing one, that's the problem

If both of those work, the scn file might be corrupted.

RE: Error Reading Scenario File
Hi Jim,

you can find 2 versions of the scn on the cd i sent you.

open folder 000East front. open folder (19)43. than you find all the ´43 scns in alphabectical order. the dates are also given.
i believe the scn was designed for ef v 1.02. so if you run v 1.03 you have to convert it into v 1.03. don´t ask me how it works. it should also run with the matrix version.

meanwhile i have read the Balck-Modle passage.

i´ll send you a mail on the weekend.

cheers

RE: Error Reading Scenario File
How about doing the map fix that is located in the "important" threads area above?

Sounds like a version conflict. If it's the map then the units will be seen and you can play the scenario. If the conflict still exists it could be an OOB problem? Some custom scenarios are designed with mods and OOB changes that would make them unplayable unless you had the OOB changes downloaded into your game folder.

cheers
