Battle wanted
I have slot 02 open and need it filled.
Would like to play early Cold war. Either Berlin Airlift period ( fall of '48) or Late Korean War ( spring '53). Medium battle (200-300 units) random air, 120x120 map. Will play either side. Countries negotiable.

OK, slot 02 is taken now. That was fast, someone out there knows a 'live one' when he sees them.
In the car biz, we called that 'cherry picking'.
I still have about 240 CD slots, if there is still interest.

I don't think so. According to my list , I am caught up except for Hak, whose turn I got this AM and will do in a few.
I will go back and double check my PBEM folder, but I think I'm waiting for a turn from you. Don't feel lonely, I am waiting for about 12 turns from various players. I don't sweat it, since they are all CD players and have their own slots, so they can take as long as they like without gumming up the works.
When it gets slow, I just put out an ad.
If you need a resend, holler.:hissy:

RE: Battle wanted
Hi Grumbler,

We can't leave your 240 slots idle, can we ? :)

I'm interested in the 1948 Berlin airlift period.

I'll take Ussr. Not for political reasons, but for OOB ones. My experience is that you can play Russia in any year, you always get a decent OOB.

Medium size is ok, but my size perception is somewhat different from yours:
Less than 50 units: small battle
From 51 to 150: medium
From 151 to 250: big
Above 250: huge. Time to switch to a more operational wargame ;)

I would suggest reasoning by number of points: 2500 points, that's already quite substantial in 1948.

Kewl, do want to set-up, or should I? If you have any settings you prefer, then let me know. I have several maps that might work or I can whip up a semi-custom to play on. I need a 120x120 map. That will give us lots of maneuver room. I leave the head on frontal assaults to the Marines.

RE: Battle wanted
120x120 is a perfect size.

I'd prefer a rural than a city map. Also, relatively symetrical. If one side has to cross a river and not the other side, it's unfair.

Can you send me the maps you contemplate ?
My email is matxer (at) yahoo (dot) fr

Which country will you play ? US ?

I think the UK. I really like the Centurion/comet mix and the Brits have excellent Experience levels. I have your e-mail and I'll send some maps along in a few. I need to finish my coffee.

RE: Battle wanted
Just in case you have changed your e-mail from the tourney we played in, here is a potential map.
