Software Swap offer

Software Swap offer
I would like to know if anyone might be interested in swapping a couple of HPS games for a new copy of WinXP Pro 64 bit edition. I bought this software new off of eBay but found to my disappointment that there is no 64 bit driver for one of my peripherals. I tried to resell it on eBay but my auction was pulled after a complaint by Microsoft. I'm still trying to figure out why its was OK to buy it on eBay, but its not OK to resell it. And Bill Gates refuses to take my call so I'm totally in the dark about this.

Anyhow, being on a fixed income makes it hard to keep up with all the new releases gushing forth from our talented friends at HPS. The games I would be interested in are:

Moscow '41
Stalingrad '42
Minsk '44
Salerno '43
Defending the Reich
Campaign Jena-Auerstadt
Campaign Vicksburg

I would be willing to swap the WinXP Pro 64 for any 2 of these games As I paid over $100 US for the o/s I think that is a pretty good trade. I also have it from Rich at HPS that HPS games will run fine under WinXP Pro 64. So this would be a good chance to speed up your system and still be able to play the best computer wargames out there. I will offer a full satisfaction guarantee, so if anyone is interested please give me a shout.

I also have a large military history library, mostly hard cover and mostly American Civil War. Most of these books are new and in very good condition. I would also be will to swap some of these for games. Again, if there is any interest I could send a list of what I've got.

Mr Dodger

I upgraded my works computer to XP Pro 64 and found about 50% of my software wouldn't install on it because even though MS is pushing 64 bit hard a lot of other companies aren't keeping up. Like you I downgraded to 32 bit again.

Eventually it will change and most software will become compatible but I would warn anyone thinking of the upgrade to check carefully whether the programs they wish to use are compatible with the 64 bit OS.

Has the product activation code already been used for the software?

RE: Software Swap offer
To the best of my knowledge the product activation code has not been used. As I said I bought this new on eBay from a very reputable seller and I never installed it, so while I can't guarantee the product has not been previously installed I don't believe it has. I went to Microsoft's website to see if there was some way I could check whether the activation code has been used before but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. Anyhow, if it has I will give a complete refund.

RE: Software Swap offer
Product activation isn't ever a big deal, after install you call MS and 2 minutes you're done with them and have a new activation code.

But, I too downgraded back from 64bit to 32 after software issues.
