RE: Windows Vista
To much money for my blood! It's going to have to wait when I get my laptop.
At this point I don't think it worth it!

Cheers Randy... I thought it was already out in the US... must be a worldwide end of month launch then.

RE: Windows Vista
Im just going for the premium home edition..... I'd rather have the disks than a simple upgrade.

Wonder if Mrs RedDevil is getting the full set... if so thats a bargain for $10

RE: Windows Vista
shipping and handling perhaps?

Bootie, apparently it needs 2 gig of RAM to run decently so hope you've got a recent PC. I have 2 gig on mine, and its reasonably quick, but I still can't see any compelling reason to shift to Vista until such time as I get a DX10 video card, which won't be anytime soon....maybe in a coupla years.

From what I've heard, the Home Premium edition is the appropriate one to get...the straight Home edition is not worth buying.

Most likely I'll get it the next time I buy a new PC.

RE: Windows Vista
You also need to beef up your PSU to run those new DX10 video cards.
