ECKMUHL SCENARIOS QUESTION

ECKMUHL SCENARIOS QUESTION
Many of the scenarios listed in Campaign Eckmuhl have different file names but the exact same title and description.

For instance, eckmuhlf1a1.scn through eckmuglf3a3-eng.scn and HISTORICAL.scn have the same title (The Eckmuhl Campaign 16-23 April 1809) and description.

Does anyone know if there are any differences in these scenarios, and if so what are they and how do we find out what they are?

I was also wondering if any of the Echmuhl scenarios included engineer (pioneer) units.

Thanks,

BELISARIUS

RE: ECKMUHL SCENARIOS QUESTION
Hi Belisarius,

I've checked the game documentation as well as some other information I have as well as the HPS website and I cannot locate the information you are looking for. I would recommend that you visit the HPS website and ask your question to them as they will be the best source to get your answers. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

RE: ECKMUHL SCENARIOS QUESTION
The current edition of Eckmuhl does not include Engineers, as they didn't exist when the game was made.

This link will take you to a mod I did that added Engineers in for the Eckmuhl in 1 battle scenarios - 9 scenarios in all plus a modified campaign file so they can be used in that format. All of these are the huge 500+ turn scenarios.

As far as the differences in the scenarios...it will vary on unit placement and reinforcement times, but I can't provide you with details on what exactly those changes are. I think most of the scenarios that have this issue you mention are meant to be accessed through the campaign front end, which doesn't allow you to see the descriptions anyway, so I guess Bill didn't feel the need to elaborate...
