RE: daisy chain anti tank mines
They represent hastily laid AT mines not dug into the Earth. They are less effecive than normal AT Mines (you can spot them easier) and also do not cover the same 20 x 20 Meter area that normal AT mines do.

So I would rate them as much less effective than normal ones.

Hope this helps.

RE: daisy chain anti tank mines
They are mines laid in a hurry and are laid on top of the ground rather than buried as per normal AP/AT mines. They are intended to slow down an enemy and to deny him a rout of advance rather than to inflict any real casualties; as they are, (to my knowledge), seen automatically, and as units will not enter a minefiled once it has been discovered, I have yet to have seen any vehicles fall foul of them.
Also, unlike normal minefields they can be cleared without the use of satchel charges.

They are good to channel your enemy to certain route where you can then use Regular AT-mines or have the area ambushed or something. I have seen once a Sherman travelling at high speed coming over a crest and not being able to stop before crashing into the daisy chain minefield.
