Spam posts
Is there anything that can be done about the spam posts? I don't want to have unsubscribe from emails.

RE: Spam posts
We are trying but need to identify a solution. We get spammers all the time but they are inactive, they have found a hole and are starting activated now.

RE: Spam posts
Would be nice to be able to sue the pants off of them and/or hit them back with all kinds of spam. :)

Unfortunately, there's no "them". It's an it. 99.9% of "problem" spam is produced by a bot. The original programmer of the bot could be anywhere, Russia, Iran, either Korea, US, anywhere, but usually out of reach by authorities.

I agree, though, but I'd want to go much further than a law suit.

RE: Spam posts
Yeah, I know we can't do anything about it. But, one always thinks of things if we could. Hitting them with a ton of spam would be funny. The ultimate would be a tree and a rope. :)

I should add that the latest problem has been resolved, but it won't last. They will always find another way in. We can only do what we can do.

RE: Spam posts
Have to be reactive than proactive. Just too many ways in.

"Theys" are taking over the world. Their worse than "whats". Both are four letter words, like **** or ****. How can you sue them if you can't identify them?

RE: Spam posts
I hate them. Their everywhere, in the mail (junk mail). On the phone (telemarketers). The internet (bots). Bots are the worse though, their like spies. Automation is what they are. They remind me of the Nazgûl from lord of the Rings, "their neither dead nor alive".

In fact, automation is so bad, it's extremely dehumanizing and I wouldn't doubt if that's how covid19 got started (if you dehumanized people enough they will get sick). Luckily, we have many forms of protection from to much automation, but since automation is high tech, it's like eating a piece of cake and you never know how much is to much, until you eat too much.

All this makes me wonder about the new AI that everyone's talking about. Will Windows think it's a new computer virus? Will it make Windows obsolete? Remember what happened to the majority of computer programs when they dropped DOS.
