Korean War Mod
Hello all,

After spending 6-7 years making this mod over a few different versions, I decided to release this now. There are several scenario's, but most if not all of my help dwindled out after a few years, I suck at scenario's, and it seems there is little interest any more in CS in general. I'm hoping there are a few left out there that might play this and enjoy it for the tribute to combatants of all nations involved, which was my motivation. I had hoped to develop a working DCG also, but ran into problems, so I didn't include that. This is a self-contained game, download to a folder of your choice, but it requires that you already own and have an installed Rising Sun. Matrix Games is supposed to develop an official version of this in the future, but I am about to stop my modding and focus on developing graphics for the Modern Wars series for Matrix, which is what I'm supposed to be doing anyway. I spent way too much time on the K'talan venture, which appears to be a total flop, figures, what a waste of time. Hope someone will enjoy this last venture.... This file is 170+ mb in size, in case you have satellite internet, and have limited download times?

which operating system you are using, which webbrowser and version also if java is up
to date and if they are using a script blocker.

Here are a list of the folks kind enough over the years to lend a hand, without there help this wouldn't have been possible-

Huib Versloot
Chris Ratcliffe
George Smithson
Gary Christian
Mark McDougall
Lance Runolfsson
Erik A. Walraven
Chris Mee

Enjoy, Merry Christmas!

NICE!!!! Working on another scenario right now, only realized the mod was done in 1.02, that's how long ago I was working on it! So, now I'm busy updating the files to 1.04 standard, will post an update for all when done. Thanks for trying it out, hope you like it!!

RE: Korean War Mod
Thanks very much, Jim!! Hope you like 'em! The K'talan are more challenging to play in a campaign as an infantry/mech/motor unit, since then armor is very infrequent, or, play as a motor Regiment, then you get indigenous armor, but there armor is way superior! Can get too easy as an armor unit, but I made the units all expensive with a formula I came up with, so don't loss to much, that seems to balance it out nicely! Let me know if you guys like the new F2 screens also, need feedback on those, if you don't mind?!

RE: Korean War Mod
I did use the F2 function to check out the K'talan equipment... but only after I ran them into the German AT Guns... and the APC's went up in smoke... LOL... the tanks came later and seemed to be very strong... Just a rush through though... I'll have to try the campaign to see how it works out... It will probably take some time to play through a few iterations to see how it work out... Interesting concept...

I didn't see any issue with the layout of the F2 function... It was nice to see the pictures of modern equipment... and the updated layout...

I've been busy the last few months, so it was a transition to see the new "game"...

Jim

RE: Korean War Mod
Good deal, I kinda took a leap with the info screen, I personally was tired of the old layout, and kinda seeing through the screen to the battlefield irked me. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but all one has to do is put the old ones in, if it doesn't suit!!

The new game is definitely a learning curve, killer weapons, but losses can add up the points quick!!

Gents: Smoke7

I just downloaded the Korean Mod files... and followed these instructions:

"Just unzip it into your Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series\ structure, so it reads C:\Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series\ Korean War. If you indeed installed your original games in the above, if in program files, it will be ;C:\Program Files\Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series\ Korean War."

Dumb question.... but how do you run the program once it has been unzipped? Where is the auto exe file? Or should there be an icon on my desktop?

Help please! Dont Know
