Delayed disruption in combat animation - bug or not??
Great new rule...
Is it intended the the D result can be seen in the combat animation in your turn but not when you click on the unit???
Current game PBEM where this is happening is B44.

Could it be the new optional rule with delayed view of D units by the attacker?

Rick
Sorry for the delay
Yes I see the disrupted yellow on enemy units I fire at in my turn. B44.
Then it does not show on the counter but I am sure the unit is disrupted already .

You say you see the yellow on the enemy unit, then it doesn't show on the counter, so I am thinking you mean the fire result is yellow, correct? I have NOT seen that in the games I have played with the rule, but it might be off in B'44 so I will give that a try. Definitely defeats the purpose!
Thanks
Rick
sorry for the delay.
Yes as you fire you see the D result in the yellow text over the unit.

I've seen something similar in a non-delayed disruption setting but I convinced myself that what was happening was that the firing unit was selected but the on-map result was for the unselected target.
Given that it's a separate routine I can see how it might have been overlooked, but are you sure the disruption result don't apply to your units (in which case, of course, you'd see the result without any delay).
History is a bad joke played by the living on the dead.

RE: Delayed disruption in combat animation - bug or not??
CC, how about saving a .btl file that shows this happening? Save the turn just to the point where a disruption reliably happens when a certain set of events are done in order. This might make it easier for people to see it happen (easier on Rick to pass it along to the powers that be) otherwise this is a wild goose chase.
Perhaps several different PBEM turns were being played and one of them didn't have Delayed Disruption on... who knows.
