February Scenario

February Scenario
We have one nominee for February's scenario of the month (East Front "Black Arrows and Red Guards"). Any other nominations?

I was thinking we should pick scenarios that have been played a lot, since there's only a month to discuss.

Same old same old! Why not pick scens that have rarely been played? Hell of a lot of stuff in the db!

RE: February Scenario
Well, mostly 'cause no one's going to discuss what they haven't played (note the current Jan 2011 pick).

RE: February Scenario
Ok how about 25K to Budapest. That is a very good scenario.

RE: February Scenario
If you want to generate discusion on a scenario it has to be a scenario that has been played alot.

Otherwise you are lacking enough viewpoints to have a discussion.

To be a scenario of the month canidate it should have over 20 games with ratings by at least a dozen members.

If you want to have a custom scenario (and usually newer) discussion then create a seperate forum called "Custom Scenaro Spotlight"

In this forum the designer could describe his scenario, which hopefully could encourage people to play it.

Remember today's Custom Scenario Spotlight could be tomorrow's Scenario of the Month.

Just an idea.

Thanx!

RE: February Scenario
Super idea Erik.
I was not much for "Black Arrow & Red Guards".

Getting ones that have been played a lot is the key.

The "Custom Scenario Spotlight" is a great idea.
It could also be supplemented by a third category: "New Scenarios You Just Got To Play." Not everyone plays as fast as you but, if left in the important threads area they could show the way for new and old members to try scenarios that they would not normally look at? :chin:

cheers

RE: February Scenario
I agree, good idea. First things first, though. It's February 1st. We have two nominated scenarios.

I'll nominate a third and suggest Storm 5-5-5.

After we get February under way, let's discuss Erik's idea.

RE: February Scenario
I'll nominate one of the few old ones I liked: "Old Friends".
