Have I cracked it
Following the err discusion about vehicle breakdowns think I might have figured out the main diffrence between a SPWAW & a SPWW2 player & strangely its got little to do with game play realism or perception there of despite the fact thats what both camps would probably base there reasons on. I think a lot of it is down to how the game is actually presented clean, crisp & clear for WW2 & while in my view SPWAW is not as clear dare I say well presented it has oodles more atmosphere. Mainly due I think to the improved sounds (even with Cross Sounds) the less clinical tile set & armour in mm just seeming more right though it really makes no diffrence. There are obviosly some people to whom game play is everything including probably me but I think the vast majority are swayed to a large extent by how the game comes across. Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks & another thought occurs not sure where else I could post this without somebody getting upity & defending their game.
Course could be talkin total b%£l$#@t

RE: Have I cracked it
Interesting thought.
I have never played any WAW game so I have no idea at all what they look like.
Over the years I have see plenty written in defence / attack of both platform types, so I have a small idea about the different game-play options and some of the coding differences.

I certainly would rather have a game that plays well rather than looks good and day of the week. After all the years of playing ww2 and MBT, I really don't dwell over the tile sets etc. any more. I am far too interested in the actual battle itself.

So Imp, if you are correct, and it is basically a difference in atmosphere...then for me, I chose the correct game from the start.
Sweet as!

Cheers
Jason
