52" LCD game playing
I've just discovered and confirmed I can hook up my laptop to my new 52" Sony LCD. WOW! I can play East Front on the BIG SCREEN! I can surf the net on the BIG SCREEN!

I'll never leave my living room!

Oh this is a life altering event... LOL...

LOL! Boss, the surround sound combined with the size of the uints on screen would definately be awesome. My 21" monitor may be seeing that it's best days are behind it. ;)

My birthday is soon and Christmas is coming. :chin:Whip

RE: 52" LCD game playing
When my son in law set up my laptop he mentioned hooking it up to the big tv in the family room, my wife threatened me with banishment to the garage. It get real cold in Cleveland Ohio in Feb so it was a no go for me. Jim all you need is a mini fridge and a indoor grill and you won't have to leave the chair ??? And oh a bucket

Don't be jealous... LOL...

I recommend the Army budget plan... Save money by spending 27 months in Iraq with a killer work schedule when you are not in Iraq. You really have nothing to spend your money on while you are busy in a war zone or preparing for a war zone. Of course, I see lots of new cars at work now that we're back; however, I like not having the car payment. My old 2002 Ford works just fine for me.

As to my new toy... It just seems to be getting better and better... It appears I can multitask with my 52" LCD and my laptop screen.

There is an Army computer system called CPOF which uses three monitors to stretch your screen which I've been using for the past year, but this is even cooler as it is one large space and gives me additional space on my laptop screen.

I've been running a computer with three screens for the past year and it allowed me to accelerate information processing. Now at home, I can run a 52" screen with a second laptop screen.

I have a 4 bedroom (one of the rooms is actually an office space) ranch with a Great Room that consists of the living room, dining room, and kitchen. I don't have to go too far from the chair to obtain sustenance or answer the call of nature.

I put the stand together and connected everything today. This is just freaking AWESOME. Only down side I see so far is that my wireless keyboard and mouse aren't working due to what appears to be a non-functioning USB receiver. A trip to Best Buy with my Gift Card from the daughter should resolve this issue. [Mission accomplished, new keyboard and mouse which are working extremely well]

I played a bit of Bukrin Bridgehead and it was just amazing. I'm impressed that my little laptop can harness this big screen. I'm going to really have fun with this.

So does this mean you can battle it out without leaving the 3D Extreme Zoom-out view??? To be able to see the whole battlefield AND enough detail for each hex and unit???

NOW I am jealous :hissy:
