Points for winning scenarios

c_Question Mark  Points for winning scenarios
Are victory points for a win or even a loss in a particular scenario modified by the fact that a scenario might favor one side?

If one were to get 30 points for a major victory in a balanced scenario, would they perhaps only get 20 points for a major victory if playing a scenario that favors them?

Thanks,

Pat

RE: Points for winning scenarios
if the handicap option is used the points can be modified accordingly.
Other than that, no, the points are set up based on size and complexity of the scenario as per data input in the database and this is not adjustable based on balance issues.

Offering to take a lower level of victory or a draw perhaps will take the points awarded to one side down .

Grizz, young man, you have brought into focus one of the Blitz' longest running and, I think, favourite controveries -the scenario that might favour one side, or in other words what is a balanced or unbalanced scenario??

I dont know if this thread will reignite the fuse, but if it does I bet my pension that if 20 Blitzers subscribe, there will be at least that many different opinions.. The last skirmish on this generated a lot more heat than light, I recall, but was a lot of fun :stir:

RE: Points for winning scenarios
Balance is easy to figure:

1. If I lose playing one side....the scenario is terribly unbalanced favoring the other side.

2.If I lose playing both sides....the scenario is just no good.

Good one Earl -the best definition yet!! But you forgot -If I win playing one side, the scenario moderately or totally favours the other side
