NOT true, many of the original scenarios have been tested and played with Enhanced...some of course have some oddities as far as crazy weapons or displaying the wrong Icons, but alot still play fine..
Plus we have redone almost all of the old original campaigns that came with SPWAW for "Enhanced" play and also, tons of scenarios have been done or reworked for "Enhanced" play.

you will find all the reworked and new ones here
Enhanced Scenarios and Campaigns
I consider scen working when it does not have oddities or wrong icons.

RE: A little playtesting with H2H
Is Enhanced meant for solo play against the AI and HTH for PBEM, or can both be played PBEM/online?

cheers

RE: A little playtesting with H2H
Hello Kpt,

With H2H you have to do a 2nd install.. no 'mod swapper' available.

also there is a little work to get H2H running on newer SPWAW versions.

H2H was designed for SPWAW v7.1.. So when installing into SPWAW v8.0 and above you need to do the following:

1st - you need another file.. it is found at here at the blitz under the 'downloads' area. You need to find the 'steel panthers' folder and a file named 'vid998' - it's about 60mb zipped.

2nd - install WAW a 2nd time - and name the folder something like SPH2H to prevent confusion.

3rd delete the 'scen' and 'campaign' folders - H2H comes with it's own set.

4th - install the H2H (it is self installing) into the new WAW folder.

5th - copy the 'vid998.smk' file into the 'sound/stream' folder found in WAW/H2H.

6th - create a new desktop shortcut that targets the 'mech.exe' file found in the WAW/H2H main folder.

Done- now open the game, and the menu panel should say 'colonel, this is Head to Head.. and the version at the bottom will say '7.1'

You should be ready to play..

Hello Maciej,

Well, - the only stupid questions are the ones that are never asked.. LOL
:whis:

Would you believe that I don't have a really good answer to that? -Perhaps it's just my nature as an engineer - always looking for ways to (hopefully) improve something. Eek

To that end - when I was first working on the drafting board, one of my fellow designers had a creed (we called it the 'drafters creed')..

Was as follows:

"Everything is subject to change, therefore, never draw more in the morning than you can erase in the afternoon." Big Grin

Another favorite is:

Our desire is to fulfil your wish.. the worse you want it, the worse we can make it, and if you want it bad, you get it bad.. (I don't know how this will translate out of english)..

Besides- I don't really have a save game space problem..

1 install of WAW 7.1 (yeah, I still have it around)
1 install of WAW/H2H 7.1
1 install of WAW-Enhanced/HTH
2 installs of WinWW2
3 Installs of WinMBT

I think if my dear wife knew that I had a capability to save 250 PBEM games...

cheers

RE: A little playtesting with H2H
Hello Kpt Lothar,

Opps - silly me, didn't answer the question completely..

All the SP variants are intended to be able to play PBEM. Only the SPWAW variants can play online.

IMHO, the unmodified WAW's are perhaps better suited for play against the AI

Alby's 'enhanced' is very good, as is H2H.. I'm looking forwards to exploring Enhanced-HTH also.

WinWW2 and WinMBT are also better for PBEM than play against the AI.

I like the creeds....
I think I understand your point - why not have 2 good things instead of just one.
