Matrix Games reworking BG Gettysburg
I saw an add on Matrix's web page that said they are in the process of revamping BG Gettysburg. Anyone know what kind of changes they will be making?

Simply a recompile of the games with the 32-bit patches included, the scenario editors and making them compliant with XP.

Huh, what's the point then? There are a number of things they could've done to improve it, but then HPS has their series out there and it's hard to compete with.

Exactly, how would they compete with a mature series that's been adding new features for 6 years now, and covers more in 1 title than all the BG series games combined - in terms of maps, battles and lets not forget campaigns...

The two items of the HPS games that HPS could improve are the 3d graphics and to add an option that does not allow movement after melees have commenced. I don't particularly like the fact that opponents can use "blitzkrieg" like tactics in a ACW battlefield. This causes atypical tactics in order to defend properly.
