RE: NO RUSSIANS! German AAR/DAR section
I'm starting to think i shouldn't have disengaged, if i'd have held on for the 7 more turns i may have taken more casualties this way but i wouldn't have lost the whole map.

Advice for next time anyone?

Turn 17

Lost that AT gun due to area firing. The crewmen are unhurt so I'll try to pull them out to safety. They are veteran soldiers so they can take over gun from some later green reinforcements or something.
I still have that gun on my left flank, but I'm not sure what to do with it. To open up on the light tanks or to remain silent and wait until some of the bigger fishes come closer? I think that maybe my infantry could take care of the light ones if they come closer. So far my MGs are holding enemy infantry at bay, but sooner or later they are going to spend their ammo and I'm sure he'll hold his tanks back and support his infantry while they attack crossroad. Opinions?

I'd take out the light tanks with the gun, you should have a good kill chance and it means he can't use them to flush your inf out. He will have to advance his armor up closer with his inf.

Remember a grenade bundle will take out pretty much any tank, when taking tanks out with inf it doesn't really matter what size they are.

Infantry is just as efficient against heavy tanks as it is against light ones, if you can only get them to come within 30m or so range. A German squad will happily dispatch a T-34 with a grenade bundle.

T-34s would be my prime targets of AT gun fire, if only you can get a decent shot. Count on needing an average of two 50mm penetrations to knock a T-34 out.

Thanks, guys! T-34s are too far so the kill chances are rare and none. So I'll go for the light tanks! cheers

North Battle has ended.
A tough battle with the Russians gain some ground but not without paying the price.
Our casualties have been light 2 Inf Squads together with their HQ and one AT Gun that was abandoned in total 24 Inf Casualties.
Russkies lost 4 Tanks(1 T34 and 3 Light tanks) and an unknown number of infantry. From the enemy destroyed armour 3 (1 T34, 2 Light Tanks) were set ablaze and cant be recovered.
By the comments of my opponent during the exchange of files i can asume that he wasnt happy with the outcome of the battle and his casulties were high.

Red line indicates the front line at the end of the game.
Red circles indicate the destroyed enemy armour

Turn 12. My 'tankless' opponent reveals 4 T-34?s and 2 light tanks?. After launching what appears to be most of his infantry across the open field north of the road he now sent a tank group forward on the southern side. It is supported by a few infantry units. I think that his decision to separate the tanks and the infantry into two big groups might yet work to our advantage, provided no new tanks and/or infantry appear.
