The Germans managed a minor victory at Saly Pass [Rearguard at Saly Pass]. Jeff's Russians pushed to the very end, but couldn't quite seize the summit. I'm ready for my next assignment.
Looks like this scenario was played twice.

Hi Jeff,
Well done on your victory. Yes, most scenarios are played more than once to get a good spread and balance between opponents, and to give a large scale to the tournament in trying to represent the global conflict that was WW2.
Regards,
Ash
Here is the updated scoresheet (Allies have taken the points lead for the first time in the tournament, although they are still behind on game results):

More bad news for the axis. The allies, led by General Lee Ensayne, have majorly run-over the axis at Bougainville. The Japanese commander (Scud somebody) was last seen dropping the ball.
~sigh.

RE: The Official World in Flames Tournament Thread
The Soviets (RD_DeathDealer) attempted to overwhelm the German (Ernst) flank by concentrating 90% of forces into a left hook on the battle map. German infantry in bunkers, StuGs crawling around the ridgeline and Nashorns parked far away on high ground stopped the attack cold on the open snow. The Soviets that did break through to secure victory location bunkers were hammered by artillery and driven out by a courageous counterattack. The final turns became a rout for the crushed Soviet survivors.

RE: The Official World in Flames Tournament Thread
Hi
Yes the heavy battle is over. Soviet T34 came very close to my HQ´s and destroyed some of my artillery units. Germans just managed to hold to their positions and switched many T34 off.
I am ready for the next scenario.
