As discussed here: https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=57167&pid=332095#pid332095 , Outlaw Josey Wales came up with an idea of creating a fun tournament to fight out the entire World War II.

RE: Now Recruiting! The World in Flames Tournament: The Prelude 1935 - 1939 - Crossroads - 10-30-2010

OK, I have The Prelude figured out. Should we choose to play all the scenarios listed in the Tournament thread, we'd need two teams of twelve generals.

At the moment we are at eleven participants, let us wait for some new members to perhaps join in, until making the decision to kick it off with the selected scenarios.

If we play all scenarios, there is room for 13 new participants. But let us not wait ages for this to fill up. We can always add new participants on a fly...

As for scenarios, I attached an Excel spreadsheet with all stock scenarios and some add-on scenarios in it (from Matrix forums, courtesy of vadersson). It should come handy in selecting scenarios for the years that are truly well presented in the game.

EDIT: Oops, attaching excel files is not possible. If interested, get the file from here: http://tanciky.cz/downloads/JTCS_Scenario_Info.zip

If not too many games on at the same time I'm in.

Cheers guys, you're in. As this is setting up it seems at least The Prelude will be one game at a time, and one game for each will round it up as well.

I am not sure about 1939, but likely later in the war one year will take several battles from each General for the year to be completed.

But let us cross those bridges when we come into them... :)

Thirteen generals in so far! cheers

Cheers Cole, you are most definitively in. The two ranking officers at the moment are KKR and Bioman, if that is what you meant by grunt.

Petri...I see you have me down as a general. No thanks. Happy to be a grunt.

BTW, Petri a grunt is a private.

I have the files for the Brunete battle.....as far as I recall it is a stock scen that came with the first issue of JTCS. I agree it does not appear in the DB.
