Updating WDS games - when current games are in progress

In case there are questions around upgrading your in games when WDS has an update here are some general tips, including if you want to play a new game using the latest but don't want to break an existing game.

• Some updates don't impact current games, but others do.
  
• To be safe, or to continue a current game with the existing version and start a new game with the latest version, you can make a copy to run the old version along with installing the latest, as two different installs.
  
• In order to have 2 installations, you must first copy your existing installation to a new folder, such as france_40_v_4_1 (just an example, based on using a version to capture for that old version.
  
• Do NOT rename the existing installation, you need to copy it.
  
• Create short cuts to the copy you made - this can get a bit complex - or I believe the WDS menu app will pick it up if the copy is in the same folder as your other installs.
  
• Run the uninstall for the game - this will remove the original install but not impact the copy you made.
  
• Run the install for the new game.
  

Then you can easily revert to the old version as needed, if you find it breaks a current game, or you and your opponent decide to continue playing that version.
