It's for uneven team games.  If you have 3 players on one team and 2 on the other, two players report game and check the Team Game Box, the third player reports against the Blitz Shadow player to avoid the other team having multiple reports against a player for one game.

Thanks for the fast answers. I was thinking it was for a game played for a member against a player who did not for whatever reason join the blitz ladder but this makes sense and explains it.
