Panzer Battles Normandy - Tips Needed!

I am playing the first mission of the British 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards campaign, and I am nowhere near getting past the beach to the large VPs. As a new player, I wanted to reach out on this particular scenario and see if anyone would be willing to give a few pointers? I have read other tips searching through these forums, and some of them have really come in handy. 

Edit: see picture below of a good portion of the map. I am rarely able to get past the red line before I run out of time (10 turns).
