One of the advantages that I thought I would see, would be to learn a bit from more experienced players - in that I'd be able to see 5 guys rather than one. The problem was that because I only saw a few of the turns, I could never really pick out anything particular to educate myself. It became, after about turn 8, like walking into a dark room full of bear traps - I'd know I stepped in one - but how it got there, I never knew.

I'd like a volunteer from the British and the German team to throw together an AAR?

The AAR can just be the team communication over the battle. You could go through an edit it a little (remove repeats, and clean it up) if you want.

Hi I will try to give my assessment of the game form, and the reason for the German brake down.

German brake down (Bad play (from us all), no communication, no consensus)
Save form our general playing performance, the reason for the brake down, was lack of communication.
We simply did not have a consensus of play and I guess that most of us played blindly, not knowing exactly what has happened the last few turns.

And personally - even if English is not my mothertongue – I understand and write if fairly well. But I found out that communicating details of a turn precisely in English really was a challenge for me. To do it properly, I would have had to invest a considerable amount of time. I did not have that, so my reports of play were very brief.

Game form:
I almost like the game form, but when you join it, you have to commit some time to do the communication.
Not being allowed to watch the previous replays will hit the team with the bad communication hard, I pretty sure that seeing the replays would not have saved our asses, but it may have made our resistance to the British a little tougher.

I think it would be a good thing to be able to se the replays freely, that would also make it more fun to participate, as I experienced it I simply did not have the feeling of playing a whole game, reducing the overall fun in participating.

I will volunteer to throw together an AAR based on the team communication over the battle.
(Should I do a proper AAR I would have to watch all the replays, as I still don’t know exactly what happened in this game :conf:)
