Clarification please.

Wireless Intercept is considered a "default"rule in EP14 and your instructions state to use default, but then lists all of the defaults except that one.  So, should we, or should we not, use wireless intercept?

RE: 1914 Valour - FWWC Tournament Round 5
Just a guess, but I think Patric copied the optional rules from the previous thread and the optional rule was only added in the latest patch.

The Germans are pretty much boxed in. The 10% wireless intercept chance for Corps level and higher HQ's gives the Germans an edge in campaign scenarios, but its effect in this scenario is minimal. The Russians also have only 2 non-Fixed Corps level or higher HQ's. The decision is for Patric to make, just pointing out that the balance effects if anyone started with wireless intercepts are negligible. Strictly speaking, players wouldn't be using the same rules, though.

HMCS Rosthern/Patric sent me a quick e-mail about the issue.

Quote:If you don’t mind please post to use wireless intercept. I think that is the default rule for that scenario.

So wireless intercept in addition to the rules in the first post.

Thanks for pointing it out Steel God, now everyone's on the same page again.

RE: 1914 Valour - FWWC Tournament Round 5
Hey, about that wireless intercept thing...

So I got an email from my opponent earlier today asking me to redo my first turn with "use wireless intercept" turned on. I just now opened up our game and looked at the default settings and saw that it is off. Then I opened a new game just to be sure it isn't on by default and, again, see that it's off. I did upgrade to version 4.05.3h1. So I'm a bit confused as to why Steel God would have this as default and not me. Are other people seeing this as a default setting?

The bottom line is that I'd rather not have to take the time to redo my 1st turn but I will if the tournament gods will it. What say ye?
