RE: Contrast issues with new graphics
I know this is a little old but I wanted to say thanks for the uploaded files, I really couldn't tell what was shaded/unshaded when using Y and S in Bulge 44.

Panzer Battles has the option to highlight the hexes with a yellow outline.

Very good point. It is a much better solution in my opinion. I only discovered it quite recently but now I would never go back.
For those that have not seen it, here is an example showing Reachable Hexes.

Yes, this was the result of Berto the PzB programmer not liking shading either!
Not certain if we will get it into PzC though...

The shading is good as long as you can get it a little darker. But, not so dark you can't see anything in the shading.

The yellow highlighting certainly looks good. It should work with most terrain and weather except possibly snow? So you would need to switch it with something else? I find red to be the best with snow.

Snow is what I have been using it with and it looks great. I have not come across a situation yet where is was not totally clear.

That shading actually messes up my LCD monitor, vibrates and tries to give me a headache. Something to do with this phenomenon: https://www.testufo.com/inversion
I'm rooting for the PzB-style yellow borders...

I'm rooting for the PzB-style yellow borders... Well PzC never gave me a headache, but that link sure does!
