Can someone with CMBN and CW play someone with MG?

Reason I'm asking is.. I have been playing a series of PBEM games with a fellow Groghead. All has been cool.. Now he got MG, and I can no longer read his files.. When I go to 'saved' games his do not show..

Been looking around Battlefront and here, but I see nothing 'confirming' that as the issue, but I'm guessing it is.. is MG considered an upgrade and thus we are now out of sync?

Yes,MG can be considered an upgrade as it bumps the game version from 2.01 to 2.1. Since they are different versions, the pbem files are incompatible. The only way you can finish your games,i'm afraid,is for your opponent to grab MG,too,or for your to downgrade to CMBN+CW only.
