I sent the Sherman to get his wunderwagen, but it reverses safely away laughing, leaving my boy facing three (gulp)
Stugs/Hetzers/Jagdpanths(?), and his demise is predictable, he fires once but misses..

It forced a Sher 75 to panic-reverse earlier, now it gets a kill against another one...We'll see if the little brat can smack my Fireflies around later..

Elltee's Americans bludgeoned their way into the city centre..




In the mixed sector my late panzer thrust failed to wrest control of the village flag in the face of dogged American resistance..

But my PIAT guy stands his ground and knocks one out (it bailed later), dotted line shows trajectory of the projectile..

COMBAT FOOTAGE (city sector) - Guderians Stug/SPA group carve up my Shermans..

PIC 1 - I knew there was a 4-strong group of them up the street, so I hopped these two Sher 75's forward to hopefully catch the whole lot in the side armour..




PIC 2 - Oops my plan broke down badly as I find the 2x Stugs of the group facing me head-on, and in the ensuing exchange of fire I lose both Shers for the loss of a Grille..

COMBAT FOOTAGE (mixed sector) - Willow's Hetzer v Archer..

Amazingly my Archer wins the shootout.
Even though it has the same 17-pdr gun as the Firefly the vehicle is usually a pile of junk because it has to be driven in reverse all the time (its gun points backwards) but this time it performed well, and later it killed a second Hetzer too..
