How do I get out of receiving notifications about it? Looked in my control panel but I must be missing something?

If you are on the ladder you get a message, we are just emailing the ladder. I assume you are talking about our message announcing the opening of new SoM starting up.

That would be global though so if some other ladder started using a similar practice he would miss those. Mind you perhaps that is totally OK...
