New Game - oldrocky - 10-03-2014

Hi Guys

I haven't played for a year and a half but Im starting a new game now and can't recall what the basic rules of engagement are. What are the general rules we use here at the blitz? I recall that there was no pre-bombard but that issue has been resolved with the new SPWW2 version so what are the other common rules/settings/etc?

Thanks
oldrocky

Hi oldrocky!

First, popular rule "maximum 10-15-20% of B-fired artillery" take other significancy, because ammo carriers now automatically counts as artillery.
No another special basic rules was added, as I can see.
Rule "no pre-bombard" eliminated.
Other prefs for taste of both players. Various limitation of Z-fire, air/helicopters, 0-sized units - all no changes...

Thanks Leo

As I set the game it is coming back to me such as no para drops in an ME etc. How does everyone like the new SPWW2 version? Does it seem that units are less likely to fire back in this new version?

No, enemy still rallies from routed status and blasts away at you. I just had one of my 1940 Ghurkas whom I was unable to rally suddenly rally in my opponents turn and shoot up a Char-b 3 hexes away. My biggest pet peeve of SP.
