1/72 Sea harrier FRS1 - Walrus - 03-15-2012

Hi Lads
Just finished this one the other day. The fit was terrible in some places but that's the way goes eh! Wanted to do an Operation Corporate Shar, but the decals turned out to be for a 1990's bird...oh well!
Kit was Italeri. I have an Airfix one kicking around that I will make one day in a different scheme.

Cheers!

Incredible buddy, how many hours do you figure? You have a nice talent for this.

Nicely done! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys!
Hours?...hmmm...very hard to tell. I tend to potter away at it in bursts when I have time available. Sometimes I may quickly sit and do 5-10 min then not be able to touch it for a week...then I might do a whole night, on and off. I have my bench set up in the kitchen, so I am walking past it all the time. It makes it easy to work in small hits.
Perhaps 10-15 hours for this one? That's a total guess though.
This one was a difficult build but a fairly easy paint mission.

I'd like to think I was improving with each model...it's still great fun, so I'll keep cracking on.
On the bench now is a Bf109 E7 Trop...terrible Airfix kit...will be a miracle if it looks like a 109 in the end!

Cheers!

Very nice work again Jason, I was at a model show today and i had my hand on the Airfix 1/72 kit, but I talked my self out of it I've got so many unbuilt kits as it is......

Very good work!

Still IMO, think it's an ugly bird, very fuctional though, just like the A-10.

That's it! I was wondering what the heck is the wrong in these pictures, details are nice and all but somethings horribly wrong. It's that the bird itself is so ugly, thanks Gila!

Ugly!Crazy
No way!
I always thought these wee birds were well cute Big Grin
Lots of complex curves, like an old Brit car...Jag or something.
Tight compact powerful looking package IMO.

That's not ugly...that's character!

Love those old British sports cars, I used to have a 64' TR4, I'd love to have that car back Cry
