So many versions help! - BluntF - 01-03-2011

Hi all. I just got back into Steel Panthers and posted this little article about it and the issues I had briefly with Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

http://bluntforcegamer.com/?p=3451

But what I was wondering is if anyone can shed some light on what version that Blitz uses or what is your preferred version and why? I am assuming that the Blitz uses the Shrapnel games version since it is still updated and "live" from the company so to speak. While as the Matrix version has been taken over by the community for the most part?
Also if possible what mods DO work with the Shrapnel version that people may be using? I have the Cross Sounds already and the Cross Tiny Flag mod but did not want the Infantry mod.

Are there scenarios written specifically for the Shrapnel version?

I think most people are playing the latest versions of SPWW2 and SPMBT from Shrapnel games. I'm sure there are people who play World at War too though.

Got the cross sounds and the tiny flag mod...I skipped on the infantry mod also. For me the infantry is hard to see so I like a mod that is not as correct scale wise or historical...but works for me, if you are interested it is:

The low ammo OOB mod by Cross also sounds like a good one..but since I am involved in a PBEM game currently I have not had a chance to try it:
