Problem Launching Acft - billk1 - 04-01-2010

Okay, my carrier is turned into the wind, 10 aircraft have been spotted and given a mission. My carriers speed is 21 knots and the wind speed is 10 knots but I get the cannot launch note in the aircraft dialog box.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi.

In case wind direction is E, you gotta turn your carrier to the east.

Wind speed and carrier speed is OK in your example.

What message do you receive ? Wind ? Wait ? Move ?

Have you assigned missions to the spotted aircrafts ?

Cheers, Klaus

I received the wait command and it never changed.
I had assigned missions to all aircraft also.

I started another scenario and I have no problems launching aircraft.
I do have a question you might shed some light on, when an aircraft launches, I hear a countdown beeper, what is that for?

Hi.

Never heard this before.

The wait message results from too much given orders.

Your aircraft will launch, but will take time.

I usually do not assign orders to more than five aircrafts.

Cheers, Klaus

Thanks Jolly Roger for your reply, I may have given too many orders now that I think of it.
