Attention opponents of Fubar - Fubar - 11-13-2008

Hello all

I am affraid i am going to have to pull out of all my current games because my internet has become a joke, it's taken me ages just to load up the Blitz.

I am trying to ditch my current ISP but because i am still in contract they are being difficult about it and it's going to take ages i think before i can swap to someone else.

Please claim all games as total victories, i tried to score the games myself but the net just crashed when i tried.

Sorry for all the trouble and hope to be back as soon as i've dumped my current ISP.

Regards

Matt aka Fubar

If you have plenty of money, you could always go ahead and get another service, just disconnect the other one from your puter and cut them loose when the contract ends. All internet services should be monthly contracts. Anything more than that is robbery. Sounds like satellite service, sister in law went thru same thing here. Tried a second service while still keeping the first one, second one sucked and were cut loose like returning something to the store within 30 days. She then upgraded the package on the first service. It's better, but nowhere near DSL IMO. Maybe consider something like that before giving up your games.

You could also look for some cheap dialup service in your area to bridge the transition. I have to resort to dialup sometimes when traveling. It's lousy, but it'll get you there with pbem.

Fubar,

Sorry you are having a bad time.
Another option is to save a copy of all your games in thier zip files on a flash drive. Go to your local library or cafe where there is free internet with PC's there. Use a web based mail account like Gmail or yahoo to send and receive game turns. This works best if there is a place close to your usual route from home and work. Just do a virus scan on the flash drive from your gaming PC to keep everything clean.

This will work until you sort out a better service ISP. Your blitz account will still be here for you when you have everything sorted out.
