v1.04 issues with old scenarios... - umbro - 09-02-2008

Hi there Jason:

So I took the plunge and started testing my old scenarios. I started with the Leros43 scenario and have run across a couple of things (some of I seem to remember existed in the TS version).

1. There appears to be a bug (which I think existed before) whereby if you click on the "Next Unit" button and there are no units that have APs left to use then the application crashes. This does not happen if you cycle through units, just when you click for the first time and there are no units with sufficient APs to act.

2. User settings such as on-map thermometers, and bases on, are not saved from session to session (though some other variables are, such as menus on and unit display opaque).

3. The German 105mm Rcl Gun appears not to be usable. When you try to target a hex the unit loses APs (and smoke count goes down if you try to plot smoke) but a target icon does not appear and the arty fire mission does not occur at the beginning of your next turn. In noticed in the btl file that the second unit ID was -1, perhaps this is a clue?

4. The graphic for the MG sections has changed and now the uniforms do not match those of the paras. Is there a special para mg section?

If I run into other issues do you want me to forward them to you or is there a better way of communicating them?

Jonathan

Excellent to hear!

Hmm. OK, will let Wyatt know.

I don't think they ever had been? But I can put in a request for that to be the case. Not sure it will happen with 1.04 though.

Hmm, that is odd. I will double check the platoon file momentarily. If there is an issue, you may have to re-ID the platoon in your scenario file. That may be the issue.

I will see about adding the old graphics for a para MG if it is available. Most of the new graphics were for East Front, but I think the MG graphics were added to WF as well.

Feel free to email me from the email I emailed you about regarding 1.04.

Excellent to you're back!!

Jason, I had this happen twice after the 1.04 patch when I started a campaign. I thought it was my computer, but perhaps it was not.

Again, thank you for the hard work.
