RE: Gauging Interest--Falklands Tourney - Jeff Conner - 06-25-2014

Looks like this scenario needs a little work.

RE: Gauging Interest--Falklands Tourney - Rabbit - 06-25-2014

And I need a medic. LOL

RE: Gauging Interest--Falklands Tourney - Paulinski - 06-28-2014

I'm about to get demolished as Argentine as well...

Similar score.

RE: Gauging Interest--Falklands Tourney - TheBigRedOne - 06-28-2014

I've been slow on the return rate the last few weeks. My men are only just nearly their doom at the top of the hill....

RE: Gauging Interest--Falklands Tourney - Stejones82 - 06-29-2014

Stejones82 and Laza have finished. Steve gets a British Major Victory with a final VP total of neg 111 (-111) points.

Very tough go for the Argentine player.

Don't cry for me, Argentina.

RE: Gauging Interest--Falklands Tourney - tallin - 06-29-2014

I don't know how to do those nifty screen shots, but tallin claims a major victory over Paulinski's Argies at -105.

I really feel bad for whoever had to attack.

RE: Gauging Interest--Falklands Tourney - Jeff Conner - 07-01-2014

Well, gentlemen, I apologize for choosing such a lopsided scenario. I actually thought this one was fairly well balanced and it had the Argentines attacking as I wanted to flip the sides. Alas, I was very wrong. Would one of the players who played the Argentines play me a game so that I can see what it might take to fix this scenario?

I also have a situation that I thought I had solved, but in light of the recent scores, I have changed my mind. One of the players capitulated before the scenario was over. I looked at the screen and estimated what the final score would have been if he had pulled his troops back out of sight. It seemed reasonable at the time, but that is now one of the best scores for the Argentines. I don't normally have a problem with players capitulating, but with this system, it is necessary to have a point score. Consequently, I am not going to reward this player (and punish his opponent) for not completing the scenario, even though he was wise enough not to continue to attack when he thought it was hopeless. I have decided to give the pair the average score of players achieving the same victory level (which since all the British players have major victories, would currently be an average of all the scores, however, this could change if there are other results in the last two games to be completed). Since I govern with an iron fist, there will be no dissent.

I'll post the current standings later this evening.

If that was only round two, what's the finale going to look like? Chair Hide

The Battle of Saragarhi?... Scared

Jeff, I can play again if you'd like.

Do I get to choose sides? Wink
