RE: Rule Clarification Needed - Herr Straße Laufer - 08-28-2009

Thanks Curt.
I just cannot turn back the hands of time and get myself that "hand-eye" coordination.
My son keeps trying to get me into one of those first person shooter games, to join him and his friends on line. I just don't have it in me. Nor, do I have the time. :(

Anyway. Thanks! cheers

You have to be able to FLY to play IL-2
Seriously fly, unless you play "arcade mode".

I used to crow and ravage with my deadly joystick in (OK...I'll admit it...please don't ban me...Battlefield 1942...:O) and then an old opponent introduced me to IL-2 at which point I ate a large portion of humble pie, questioned my manhood, held it cheap, and decided flying was for the birds.

No...wait...it was my joystick...that's my story...lol...

I'm still trying to figure out a way to keep your computer from crashing so I can shoot you down in that fancy plane you like so much. :smoke:

BTW: This flew over us as we drove through Mt. Airy last week.. cheers

IL-2 is the best of the best. Magnificent. and I only played hte old original version, not all the newer ones. Without a doubt best flight combat simulator I've ever seen. Along the lines of the magic that was the original M1 Tank Platoon. Now that was a masterpiece of programming given the limited computer resources of the time.

Blue skies = Good
Blue screen of computer death = Bad

Not sure why my rig had issues with IL-2.
A shame really, I love the flight simulators.
