RE: OFF TOPIC - Axis & Allies - Der Kuenstler - 06-22-2008 The last Gary Grisby game I tried was "Pacific War" - it was about as fun to play as doing my taxes.... RE: OFF TOPIC - Axis & Allies - Jolly Roger - 06-22-2008 ![]() Hi Vulture. It´s a A&A clone and the best I´ve ever played. Have a look at www.blackbeangames.com Cheers, Klaus RE: OFF TOPIC - Axis & Allies - Steel God - 06-25-2008 I still own my original Axis & Allies, but I confess to enjoying the other games in the series (and playing them more) than A&A. Fortress America Conquest of the Empire Shogun Love the balance of the last two, and the 3 on 1 set up of Fortress America is great when you're playing with a different skill mix in the players. RE: OFF TOPIC - Axis & Allies - voodoochile - 06-28-2008 Started out with A&A around the same time as Der Kuenstler, a few years shy of high school I think! Those were the days...... no internet, no cellphones, no cable TV even! (at least in my country). I had a group of friends who I would play D&D with on the weekends. These sessions later evolved into games of A&A. I remember one of the rules we came up with to make things more challenging was "no factories outside of your home country". Makes me want to buy a copy and start playing again! |
