RE: Wehrmacht Training Film - Weasel - 06-06-2008 Might have been old habit. The Germans started the war wearing suspenders under their tunic, web gear, and pack. A latrine break was a monumental undertaking. They must have spent half their time undressing and dressing. Yeah, we use to have crew suits issued to us which were one peace. Comfortable, but what a pain in the ass (literally) when you had to take a dump. Nothing like having to take off all your clothes in the middle of winter squatting over a fallen log to make you appreciate two piece combats. |
