Hi, which title versions of SP do you all play?
Which is the most popular among you?
As far as I can tell there are no less than 6 titles-
STEEL PANTHERS
SP II MOD BATTLES
SP III BRIGADE COMMAND 1939-99
SP WAW
SP WW2
SP MAIN BATTLE TANK
Is that right?
And which one is available for freeware download?
I used to regularly play the original SP about 10 years ago against the AI but wouldn't mind trying a human opponent on for size..:)
Well I only play SPWAW 7.1. H2H mod. I also have unmodded 7.1 and 8.4 versions for campaign play. But I have no time to play these at all atm :(
I tried the camo games but the design doesn´t appeal to me as much as SPWAW.
SP 1-3 SSI are out of date meanwhile...
Probably most popular atm is SPMBT ver4 but also you can easily get opponents for SPWAW ver8.403, SPWW2 ver3 and SPH2H fr. All of the above are free for dl.

SP1-3 are obsolete and belongs in the Classic Wargames-ladder..
WINMBT and WINWW2 are the best 2 available (IMHO) and are both Free downloads

I disagree.
They are both completely playable with default preferences.
It is just a 'feel' thing.
There are many preferences that can be adjusted to suit every player's style...which is why they are such good games.
MBT does improve with some adjustment, I will agree to that.
To say it is unplayable is a very prejudiced view IMHO.
