20 September, 1943: Kptlt Otto, in command of U-270, was on station in the middle of the Leuthen patrol line in the well traveled Greenland Air Gap when he came across a westbound convoy. In fact, he had found two: ON-202 had been merged with ONS-18 by Western Approaches. Guarding these ships were not one, but three escort groups. Otto followed and eventually BdU authorized him to attack and to serve as a beacon for the other boats of the Leuthen group. U-270 was armed with a few of the new T-5 homing torpedoes and would put them to use. **Note** Players will need to choose which torpedo load to shoot.
