Scenario Briefing: 2nd Action at Rheinfelden - Defeated at Rheinfelden in a minor engagement on 28th February, Bernhard was able to get his forces away largely intact, due to the exhausted state of the enemy who had force-marched to the wintry battlefield. Within a few days, Bernhard was ready to launch a counter-attack which caught the enemy unprepared with some of their best troops absent foraging and unable to reach the battlefield in time. The attacking Anti-Imperialists were deployed in two wings and two echelons, with Bernhard commanding the left and Taupadel the right. The Imperialists formed a hasty defense in three echelons behind a crooked drainage ditch, with the left flank near the village of Nollingen. Lacking any artillery, the disordered Imperialists were out-gunned and quickly broke.
