Russians were stopped with cavalry charge. Brits were turned in marsh with batteries... Very interesting scenario. Many roads, bridges, marshes - very unique terrain. What a pity that there is so few scenarions about battles in Nederlands.

Not recommend. The scenario is very unbalanced with a clear asymmetry in favor of the French. The map is large, a kind of a marshland with rivers and some narrow roads. The Russian troops will march along them for a long time, meeting occasionally some French pickets. When they rich objectives, they will stand against full French forces in a good defence position with a lot of cannons. Without going into detail, after a while (and some events including strange attacks and a bit of an absurdity), I made an early termination bid, citing misunderstanding what is the fun of it all, and not seeing the point to play it. Totally not recommend this scenario, unless as a curiosity. From the Russian side it is very straightforward, you are just moving along the thin line having no place for a manoeuvre. This scenario is not the best choice if you are a newbie and are going to play on the Russian side (I'm a newbie and a very bad gamer approximately one time in a year trying to retry it) and nice to know that in the real life this battle was completely lost by the Russian-British forces. But if you are a newbie and you are going to play the French I'd don't recommend this too, because this scenario is very abnormal and you will not get to learn some typical tricks and tactics. It is better if you choose something more ordinary.
