4 June 1796 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - This is the historical battle of First Altenkirchen where the French forces defeated the Austrian forces in the initial days of the 1796 Rhine Campaign. For a historical overview see the "RBR_Battles.pdf" file found in the main game folder.Player's Note: This scenario is heavily balanced in favor of the French side. Historically, the French had almost 12,000 men while the Austrians only had 6,500. For a more balanced game play one of the variant scenarios.
