Single Battle -The Battle of Gzhatsk- No Fixes (52 turns, Large) - September 2, 1812 - Gzhatsk (now called Gagarin after the cosmonaut hero who grew up there) was the site originally recommended to Kutusov to fight a general battle against Napoleon. He passed up the site in favor of the Borodino position a few miles closer to Moscow. This scenario assumes that he accepted the recommendation and gave battle at Gzhatsk. Both armies are somewhat stronger than at Borodino not having suffered the additional attrition from the rearguard actions that marked the advance towards Borodino. All units begin unfixed.
