Scenario length – 15 minutes May 8, 1942 The Battle of the Coral Sea followed the pattern of many of the Carrier Battles of the Pacific War. Both sides were able to launch full strikes before having to face the inbound enemy strikes. While US Aircraft were attacking the Shokaku, the Lexington faced the first major carrier based attack any US Carrier received during the war. Within moments, the Lexington had been struck by two torpedoes. Hours later, the damage from one of those hits would cause a series of secondary explosions that would doom the Lady Lex.
