Again, the objective is to delay Price's Army long enough for A J Smith's infantry and Pleasonton's cavalry to close on their rear. With Marmaduke as rear guard, charged with holding off Pleasonton and shielding the immense wagon train, Price pushes Shelby to breech the Big Blue defenses while Fagan stands by to follow.
