Scenario Briefing: With the capture of Jerusalem, nearly 25 years earlier, the Fatimids of Egypt have tried on several occasions to invade Crusader held lands but could not achieve victory. But now in 1123, the Fatimids felt that the time was right to invade once again. King Baldwin II was held in captivity by the Seljuk Turks of Syria and a new Fatimid vizier, al-Ma'mun al-Bata'ihi, assembled an army of over 15,000 and marched to retake Jaffa.
To counter this invasion, the Kingdom of Jerusalem's regent, Eustace Grenier, mustered over 7,000 mounted knights and men at arms. Though outnumbered better than 2-1, the Crusaders rode with the confidence that their heavy cavalry could ride down the Egyptians and repel them once and for all. The two armies will meet near the coastal walled town of Yibneh, a town west of Jerusalem.

intended to be played as the Crusader Alliance against the Islamic Alliance A/I or Head-to-Head.
