Scenario Briefing: Once again, the town of Ramla will be the scene for yet another battle between King Baldwin I of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, and the Fatimid Egyptians invading from their coastal bastion at Ascalon. As this will be the third battle of Ramla, the ground is already well soaked with the blood of both Muslim and Christian.

For this battle, King Baldwin marches southeast from Jaffa with an army of 2,500, a force more than 10 times the size of his army in his last disastrous encounter in this area. In contrast, the Fatimids have come with an army of about the same size as before, numbering about 6,000. Only this time, they have a new weapon - mounted archers borrowed from the Seljuks. This new weapon, however, is not at all new to the Crusaders. With these 1,200 Turks, the Fatimids are hoping to draw the crusaders into a trap from which they cannot escape.

In this scenario, the Turks will start fixed while they await to see if the crusaders take the bait.
